P.O.R.T(People Offering Resources Together) -Saint Jerome will be hosting the annual homeless PORT event from 8-15 January, 5:30pm to 7:00am each day,and is in need of volunteers. Varying roles involve providing dinner, breakfast, night watch and sign-in duties. Partner churches will be assisting Jan. 8-14 so we only require general/sign-in support (1 or 2 persons) during that time-period; St. Jerome provides total support January14-15 (all shifts,4-12 persons depending on shift). First Friday, December 6
St. Jerome is participating in the 2,000 Hail Mary Devotionevery First Friday of the month in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of St. Jerome from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Please sign up and join us praying this devotion. Participants are asked to pray 100 Hail Mary’s and if you bring a friend you may each do 50 Hail Mary’s to satisfy the devotion. Those who cannot come to St. Jerome, but would like to participate in this devotion, can pray the 100 Hail Mary’s in their own home for your own intention. Participants may sign up on the clip board located in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. ALL Parishioners are welcome!

Lectors: Do you have the gift of public speaking and want to share your talent with the community? If so, please consider being a lector to proclaim the word during the weekend Masses. We are in need of lectors to read at all of our Masses, (especially at 7:00am and 12noon Mass) If interested call the parish office at 757-877-5021.
Adult Choir: If good vocal quality is your forte, please come forward and volunteer for this ministry as a choir member or cantor. Thank you, Lord, for giving us the gift of music and for voices to sing your praises. We release the talents you have given us to help others by providing beauty, joy, comfort and inspiration for our Liturgies. Help us to stay committed to fulfill this work throughout the year.
