For Your Information Peninsula Catholic High School is seeking a full-time maintenance employee to work from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Parish Nurses Get a list of several symptoms of GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) at the Nurse’s Board. Please see the Bon Secours Network Newsletter on the Parish Communication Bulletin Board. Christian Formation Office Hours The Young Adult group is meeting on 12 April after the 5:00 Mass to go to Yorktown Beach. On 17 and 18 April St. Jerome will be offering an Easter Retreat on Conversion. Father Pete Creed will be the presenter for this spirit filled event. Both nights will begin at 5:45 with social time and light refreshments – the actual retreat will begin promptly at 6:30 and end at 8:30. (Friday night will end at 9pm) Registration is a must; please email Margie at margie@stjeromennva.org . Cost is $7.00 per person to cover food and retreat expenses. The Prayer Shawl Ministry group will be meeting on 13 April at 6pm in room 7 in the Faith and Life Center. Come and join this wonderful group of people who are creating beautiful gifts of love and care for the sick in our parish. Any volunteer who has not attend VIRTUS training is welcome to come on April 10 at 6:30 in the Faith and Life Center. Please go on line to www.richmonddiocese.org and register to attend. Our parish is blessed to have a dedicated and caring group of catechists who devoted hours to the development of our young and old people’s spiritual growth. On 20 April during the 9:30 mass we will honor these catechists who have recently completed Pathways, the diocesan catechetical certification program. Please congratulate our newest certified catechesists: Dan Baker, Dan Ponisciak, Melissa Rogala, Cathy Lenderman, Amanda Edbauer, Myron Ware, Lizabeth Meier, Bob Sanford, Amy Blount, Joe O’Brien, Melody Cerny, Judy Zagursky, Anne Zagursky, Teresa McGee. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!” YOUTH For anyone interested in attending the Steubenville Youth Conference, there will be a planning meeting on April 15 at 7 pm in the youth group room. At this meeting we will also discuss Schedule, Cost, and Fundraising. I will also accept down payments to reserve a spot on the trip. April is national Child Abuse Prevention Month It is most appropriate that it is held during the Easter season. There is no better time than Easter to celebrate the protection of our most valuable gift from God – our children. BAPTISMAL SCHEDULE The next Baptism Class will be held on Monday, April 28, at 7:00 p.m. Please call the Parish Office to register before the class. Godparents must attend class also. A Nursery will be available.
