We will continue to have the donation basket in the rear of the Worship Center for the next two weeks. Everyone who has contributed to the project has reached out to so many people in our global family. Thank you.

Many people display the palms they receive this weekend behind a crucifix or religious picture in their home. It is traditional for some to weave the palms into the form of a cross. An old Italian custom is to present your palm branch to someone you have offended as a sign of reconciliation.

Lighting a Candle Instead of Cursing the Darkness Recognition

Some people see a problem and complain; some people see a problem and fix it. Last Sunday when Father Joe became ill and unable to celebrate the 9:30 Mass, Eric “Grimm” Palm; with just a few minutes notice, conducted a Communion Service. On Thursday evening, when Father Joe was still not well, Grimm made XLT possible through his efforts. He is this week’s Candle Lighter.

(If you know of someone who deserves recognition for their Candle Lighting, please call Jeanie in the parish office)

A man who was completely innocent,
offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others,
including his enemies, and became the ransom
of the world. It was a perfect act.

And about three o’clock Jesus cried with a loud voice,
“Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is,
“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
