Classes: 1st and 3rd Sundays - 10:45 - 12:15 a.m.

PRESCHOOL: (3 and 4 year olds)

Bible stories will be shared and discussed with the children and appropriate crafts and activities will be done to reinforce the story.

KINDERGARTEN

Faith First is the book used. The children will learn about God's gifts, Mary, Saints, Advent and Lent.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Beginning on 10 February 2008, we will begin Children’s Liturgy of the Word during the 9:30 Mass. The children will pick up nametags prior to the Mass, sit with their parents during the opening song and then be dismissed with the lead catechists and helpers before the readings begin. The children in grades kindergarten through 2nd are invited to go to the classroom and hear the readings from Mass and discuss them with the catechists. During the offertory, the children will return to their families. This program is liturgical and is connected to the Mass readings and the prayers. Currently we need some additional helpers for this program. If you are interested in this program, please email Margie margie@stjeromennva.org or call the office. If you would like to see this program offered at the 11:30 Mass and are willing to help, please email Margie. If you have a child that is going to participate in this, please register him/her prior to 10 February. There are forms located in the foyer of the church for you to complete and leave.
